PG described the worst thing about meetings in the makerschedule essay. Two other meeting evils: - Meetings that expand to fill the time scheduled for them - Meetings with more people than required to solve the problem at hand

I've had T-Mobile for several years and I like them. They're innovative in their billing practices: If you don't want subsidized phones you can save $20/month and they don't interfere with tethering. This merger is bad news.

Stanford's graduation rate for undergrads starting in 2004 was 78% after four years and 95% after six years. That doesn't consider by major, though, or students switching to easier majors. This is certainly higher than the rate at many sc

A minor correction: it's not as bad as 15.3%. The self-employment tax is really just the company share of FICA withholding (6.2%) plus Medicare withholding (1.45%) If you're an employee you pay 6.2%+1.45%=7.65% and your employer pays the

I'm not sure it's important to predict now whether iOS or Android is going to be bigger or more profitable to developers. They're both going to be enormous and they're both going to be around for a long time, just like the Window-Mac horse

Yes, but the kind of disruptive mindset YC funds will think about how to make some previously non-scalable business scalable. I don't know the answer here, but it's a good question.
