I only have a copy of the CD with the VRML worlds on it, sadly. I had a copy of the CH4 thing we did the year after (and it was put up on YouTube a few years ago too, maybe it's still there (I'd have to check).

Mildly disappointed that there's no listing of "The Net" in there. I help created some shared virtual worlds for the series circa '96 which involved the participation of members of the public in the 6 spaces we created.

Swiss-German sign language is.. interesting. It has Cantonal dialects (I wish I was joking!). I'd really prefer everyone switched to German sign-language for simplicity's sake - in the same way most Swiss-German speakers write Hig

Been there, done that at a UK Telco Research Lab back in the mid 90's. Now those _were_ the good old days. I miss my Amigas (I had 4 over the years, now all gone. sob ).

This is heartening news - I bought the e-book of PAIP a while ago, and the OCR in it is horrible, with many errors (although perhaps they were deliberate, to keep readers on their toes?).

So, I googled quickly but couldn't see anything obvious.. this does or doesn't affect Linux running on IBM Z Series mainframes then? I haven't seen much about if Power CPUs are affected by the same flaws

"Who Owns the Future?" is IMHO very much worth a read, as it points out some of the issues we face as a society dealing with the the big social-data-silos in terms of 'us' being the product for sale, what that means, and

This is something I do wonder about, in this context. I don't have a CI myself, but my 6 year old son does, and I am somewhat concerned that he is-or-might be experiencing partial sound "blindness" (meaning: sure speech proce

For pens, I am enjoying the Pilot 'Frixion' pens. Biro, but can be erased. Now with different colours and even a highlighter. Only for note taking though, I'm not happy about erasable ink on official forms.

I can't remember the exact language he used but in his last talk at OC/3 he implied he liked it, but they were using something else (JS or JS-like). Shame really, it would have been neat to use something scheme based.

Poul-Henning Kamp had this proposal on the subject back in 2011: http://queue.acm.org/detail.cfm?id=2030258 I think it's a good idea.

The Bullet Journal looks interesting, but to me it feels much more like it should be a tablet app, than in a physical notebook (mainly due to migration of items, but this is of course achievable with an erasable pen or pencil). I say this
