Lazarus looks interesting, but what holds me back is that the language doesn't seem to have evolved. I enjoy functional languages much more these days, and I prefer not to go back to an old language. I would be happy to be proven wrong

My preferred tmux session manager : https://github.com/oxidane/tmuxomatic Has the easiest configuration I've seen, I can only advise to try it out!

It is a question of personal taste. I personally don't like it, there's too much distraction and too little substance. It might be interesting to illustrate some concept, but not everything imo.

Very cool! One suggestion: it might be good to remove words that are identical in both languages. I had multiple times a question where the missing word was (eg) the name of a sporter, which is evidently not translated.

Tarsnap is great if you backup a file system holding small files. If you use it to backup eg vm disks images, the slow restore makes it an impractical tool. Worth knowing before switching to Tarsnap...

I discovered this a couple of years ago, but never had the opportunity to use it extensively: http://en.smath.info/ Anyone having experience with it?

Could you share more details? Was it hard to get it right? Did you need luck to get it to that level? Is it a niche?

Typescript seems to get a lot more attention (at least on HN). How does Flow progress? How is the community around it? I'm curious to know more as an external to both projects.

Seems http://www.nem.io have built their software separating in client and server components, the client using the rest api published by the server. Would that be a good approach?

I really like ocaml, but it could do with better community management I think. Eg it's been more than one week that the links of the news section on the homepage result in a white page. This might deter newcomers to even try it.

Am I the only one not liking the slides having both vertical and horizonzal navigation? Going through the whole presentation requires going in the right direction (down unless last slide in section, in which case it is right...)

I like to remind people that they do not decide themselves if what they do is ok or not, it's the people interpreting the collected data. In that regard, I read a good illustration (invented I guess): imagine a guy that does to a shop
