My personal preference is to have the different stack isolated by default (+ intra-stack isolation possibility using networks). I'm deploying Swarm and traefik as described here: https://dockerswarm.rocks/traefik/#

I'm a docker swarm user, and this is the first alternative that looks interesting to me! Some questions I have based on my swarm usage: - do you plan to support secrets? - with swarm and traefik, I can define url rewrite rules as conta

This is based on the Chromium Embedded Framework. I've always been surprised this kind of framework was not encouraged for Firefox by Mozilla (I've read they were even against it).

This is an honest question, not trying to get into an argument... > I don't want extensible software. KDE is terrible in that regards. They have miriads of options, that's too much for me. Why not use the default provided then

As I'm working on a signing scheme for release authentication, this is a welcome news. To alleviate the issue of mutable releases I had set up a mirror of releases checksums to be able to detect releases alterations. This is not needed

We handle the case to prevent git history rewrites, but an alternative solution could be adopted if less cumbersome.

I'm working on a project where I need to prove that a file in a git repo is append only, ie all changes to the file only added lines. The only way I can think of is looking at the git history of the file, but would there be a faster wa

I also preferred dynamic typing, until my complex rails app grew to the point I didn't dare to do any refactoring. But I didn't switch opinion until I discovered ML type systems, which really allow for fearless refactoring. At occ

Interesting! I have a F# background, and thought to have read that some constructs I learned to appreciate are not available in Gleam (the one I can think of right now is currying, but I thought there were others). Also, Gleam otp didn'

Seems I've been doing something like spec driven development on my last project. I keep a spec of the solution developed, and include it in every request sent to the ai, and it yields good results in my case. I'm still the develop

I usually ask it to build a feature based on a specification I wrote. If it is not exactly right, it is often the case that editing it myself is faster than iterating with the ai, which has sometimes put me in an infinite loop of correction

If you prefer to generate a static site, take a look at https://soupault.app/ It generates a static website from markdown or other formats. Mentioning it here because it deserves more attention than it currently gets.

Fsharp's type inference is great in that regard. Function types are inferred too, in contrast with rust. I find fsharp fit for exploratory code, and its type inference is probably the enabler.

Though it's not the only benefit, I enjoy rust and fsharp's typesystems most when refactoring code. Fearless refactoring is the right expression here.
