Very nice site. Right after he resigned I actually stopped and thought about how he had changed my life directly or indirectly. Truly amazing. We created a FB event "Dress Up Like Steve Jobs Day": https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=130

I tried everyman with my wife and thought it was going great subjectively, until a friend of ours said "You guys look like shit" which made us promptly realize that hidden behind the delusion that we were doing fine we were much more dull.

I sent the site owner an email to see if he can comment on more general search queries he may have lost ranking on. If it is just that long quoted one I agree that your suggested headline would be better.

I admit I struggled to come up with a headline for it and my choice of wording was not very good. However, he did lose search traffic as a scraper site took over his top ranking for certain searches. It appears he has more details about spe

Hmm... I just tried fresh FF4 and the settings window came up right away for me. Do you see "Buylater settings" in the Tools menu? If not can you email me your "Troubleshooting information" (under Help -> Troubleshooting information) t

I'm a huge fan of HN and with the constant reminders here of people successfully doing something, I've (re)launched an app that tracks amazon price drops. Thanks hackers! Also special thank you to Joshua McKenty of http://www.piston.cc wh

I tried a home office with a door that closes but found it just easier to get an out of house office. I did fine with just my wife but with a baby it was really hard to not go help when I heard him crying for an hour, etc. Also my wife foun

Yeah I didn't like a lot of his more out there stuff but I just ignore it. He still has some excellent insights on productivity and has some new ways of thinking about common, tired problems that have helped me.

I was really overjoyed when I found out about this and actually started a site based around it. I'd been listening to positive / educational audio every morning on a walk / run and found it to have massive improvements in my productivity an

I find just going for a brisk walk in the morning and potentially running while listening to some audio I find positive very helpful. Either stuff like Tony Robbins, technical podcasts, or something to remind me of all I have to be grateful

I listen to the audio still while commuting or around the house, but often read the transcripts if I don't have as much time. For some guests I really like to watch the video as it helps connect with the guest and Andrew. I don't think I wo

I am. My contract income recently dropped and I'm ruthlessly cutting my expenses, but I would eat one less meal a day before I would drop my Mixergy subscription.

You are absolutely more capable than you think. I started freelancing with a decently sized startup based on the recommendation of a good friend who was an all out super star. I was looking for freelancing work and failing miserably at it.

I don't understand why it is inappropriate to label it a startup. By your definition 37signals is not a startup because they made money early on and don't work more than 40 hours per week. It seems like the childish / teenaged measuring sti

I like symfony as well but as of late I've found several things in the documentation to be segmented - such that you need to read around in several parts to find the secret recipe that actually works. I'm planning to contribute to the docs

I didn't know about this and I'd love to get started using it. I wanted have an affiliate system for my own app but writing my own was not attractive at all. I'll definitely be watching.
