For Vidpresso.com, we use Stripe. It's so easy to set up, and has a really modern REST / Webhook-y api. 2.9% feels expensive, but when you realize you don't have to set up any subscriber / coupon code / plan configuration logic, each charge

It's not the css we wanted, it's the css we deserved. :) But seriously, this is extremely consistant with other css directives. Yes, I'm still going to just use less / stylus / whatever, but browser based vars mean some interesting possibil

The only thing that bugs me about Hacker Monthly is that the authors of the article don't get anything more than a free subscription. Like, even a token $20 would be something. $100 would feel appropriate. I'm not sure how the cost calculus

I want this. This is awesome. Reddit always seems gross from my perspective as an outsider. I want good quality stuff like that. I have to be logged in to get that?

My $.02: The problem is a really great art project meant to push the web forward. I think we need more things like popcorn to make broadcast data driven, but I don't think popcorn is the thing that makes it all happen.

Most YC hackers: "I'm fixing x because x is broken. They're slow, costly, inefficient, and aren't taking advantage of modern technology." Elon Musk is doing a YC startup (in spirit) on the most grand scale possible.
