http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Moritz Michael Arrington's prowess has not yet been actually assessed. I'd say I know a few journos who aren't that bad, but a lot of tech press who are horrible.

One of my favorite displays of how little the tech press gets it is this stark contrast. (I think Garry Tan is the one who pointed to me it originally but I don't have that reference right now.) PandoDaily in 2013: "While I don’t

I was talking with someone who's applying for YC just recently and thought how the questions I was hitting with (many almost verbatim from this list) are essentially a checklist for gut checking most companies. YC interviews seem like

I last played it probably about 5-7 years ago (along with the primes and zero missions, was on a metroid bender). Re-reading it as an adult with little spare time, it was like playing the game but in a fraction of the time. Thank you, poste

Because, headline / clicks! :) The thing I'm frankly most worried about is interest rates, which will be the thing to reset the current angel situation. If interest rates rise, it's likely some of the more levered investors w

This is how startups are unfortunately supposed to feel. The fact it's spreading without you having to do much is a good sign. Just keep going as much as you can and don't worry too much. Easier said than done, but you're on

:( I used to work at Weblogs, Inc. and had done work for all three of these pubs. The worst part for me is that the original vision of Weblogs, Inc. is dead. The vision was to have dozens of niche blogs covering topics people cared about. S
