Patents aren't copyright, it's perfectly legal to publish plans or explanations on how to build a patented device. You can even patent an improvement on a patent you don't own.

I remember the snipers... cursed them because I had a low resolution screen, so I couldn't see them from afar. The star wars one was great too (is it still alive?)

IMHO 100 people isn't a big company at all... two dozen programmers can still comfortably fit in a room and know eachother. My current company has 200k employees, we spend a large amount of time just looking for whoever is responsible

All these arguments could apply just as well to Japan, which has an obesity rate far, far lower than the US.

No, you can implement methods outside the class declaration even with templates. It just has to be in the header file rather than the cpp.

I work this kind of hours right now, but I think you're wrong about the motives for most people. I don't care about security (not thinking of staying in the long term, no wife/kids to support) and I see no moral superiority i

That's a good find, but note that the name is a bit misleading: "Tokyo Metro" is only one of many train/subway corporations in Tokyo, so the pass is far more restrictive than the London one. There are a few company-speci

Not sure what these prices are based on, but in Tokyo a monthly pass for all of a zone doesn't even exist - you'd get a pass for a specific route from station A to station B only, with no buses and so on.

The vast majority of appartments in Tokyo have a balcony (for laundry), let alone a window. Perhaps very very poor places... there are some without bath.

What do you work on? I find there's a huge difference between languages and projects. I don't mind writing Haskell or Python in emacs, but I couldn't live without VS for our fairly large C++ project. Debugging without the IDE is a huge pain

I do think that's what the poster is referring to: > the motion of the head with eyes fixed looking around the border of an object in space approximates the motion of the hand tracing the same object His argument is that this kind of ab

Then won't you get mostly the same thing, at a higher spread? Market makers would be hurt less by that than the investing public... in fact exchanges give fee rebates to market makers precisely to help liquidity.

Usually you don't get a really high salary until you've worked a few years in the field. That's the trap, you think "I'll work there a few years and save up", but then after a few years you get to the point where your salary is really going
