Devil's advocate: I'm sure the people learning about their non-existent dissociative identity disorders also feel as though they're learning useful information and tricks. That being said, I'm in no way implying that the

Since I first used GraphQL, my opinion has been: I like it for admin applications where the client can safely be trusted to tell me exactly what they want, and as long as I authenticate them, they can have it. For everything else, it's

I think I'm probably the other end of the spectrum. I'm perfectly content with just a close-up picture of a vagina. Penis going in and out of vagina in as high def as possible is basically optimal. If there's anything else in

This thread now spans from the predictable 4channer talking about racial IQ all the way to this person talking about how sub-Saharan Africans were prosperous due to working less than 40 hours. This conversation officially wins my "this

I had a single milkweed potted plant on my roof. Within a day I saw a monarch on it. Within a few weeks I had about 20 caterpillars devour it. Within a few more weeks, I counted 16 chrysalises around my patio, of which 13 flew away successf

So if the promise still exists, that means that there is an active call out for a promise using this key already, so we'll just return it. We know this because when the function that is executing finishes, we delete the promise from th

I have written many tools that do something like this, very useful. Just gotta be careful with memory leaks, so (for a TS example) you might want to do something like this: const promiseMap<key, Promise<any>> = new Map();

Prices weren't just going up in December, they've been going up since 2020. The asset class boom beginning in 2020 was mostly just a graph of inflation. Trillions of new dollars in the economy, record low interest rates, PPP loans

A kilobyte is ~2^13 bits, but each bit is a power of 2 in regards to "things you can do." So it's more like 2^2^13. Technically a kilobyte is 1000 bytes exactly, so I'm not sure why the title says 2^1024 rather than 2^80
