Just a top level domain after the @ is a valid email (e.g. foo@com). Things like this are why we end up with massive regular expressions for email validation. That said, if you are only warning the user, but not preventing them from submitt

Mailcheck looks pretty interesting - I'd been considering adding some sort of client side validation for email addresses for my personal projects, and this looks pretty solid. There are a few cases that it doesn't catch that I wish it would

As a current Pro user, $25 per year to continue unlimited storage, no ads (for me and for all viewing my photos) and photo statistics is still an easy sell. However, if I were signing up for an account today, I would most likely not purchas

I wonder if the 200MB vs 50MB differentiation is intentional. As a Pro user, I was curious, so I tried uploading a 70MB file. The flickr uploader complained. I tried a 30MB file and it was happy. So, it appears that, at least as of now, the

The "only the last 200" photos visible "feature" is now gone, as is the 300MB/month limit. Yahoo has decided to pursue the gmail strategy - offer a huge amount of free storage as compared to the competition. The ad-free plan is probably mos

Keep in mind that the ad-free experience also means visitors don't see any ads when browsing your photos if you are a pro user. This may or may not be important to you, but is arguably worth the $25 per year for any use that approaches prof

I believe, as of now, the price is still $25. From my own "manage your pro account page": Your Flickr Pro subscription: 1-year Pro at $24.95 Your Pro account will renew automatically on 3rd September, 2013 https://secure.flickr.com/accou

If you continue to pay for the Pro account, you get no ads (the free tier is ad supported), unlimited storage space (no new plans get this, so this is a nice grandfathered bonus.. if you need more than 1TB that is) and photo stats. But yes,

And I wish Google well in this realm. Given yelp's somewhat shady practices, I welcome more competition (well, I would welcome the competition regardless, but especially in this case).

This actually makes the post interesting for an entirely different reason. I'd love to see further analysis on the accounts contained in this c&c center. Given that the author has the user names of a number of likely spambot accounts, I

Correct. And some domains can be tough to transfer once you get too close to renewal time, so I'd recommend transferring sooner rather than waiting for the renewal date to come up.

Same here. Namecheap for the common domains, Gandi for the slightly more exotic ones. I've been happy with both. I also have one domain at networksolutions (it was worth a $100 difference over five years vs gandi), but I definitely would av

It does. And it should be a legitimate concern for any startup that is hoping to rely strictly on a .io domain. The story of the vb.ly link shortener - and their seized domain - is worth reading: http://techyum.com/2010/10/official-vb-ly-l

The main reason that this TLD has recently gained traction is due to google adding .io to their generic country code top level domain (gccTLD) list: https://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en...

Sidenote: I am enjoying all of the current interest in the .io domain (speaking as someone who owns a few .io domains). As a recent addition to google's gccTLD list, it still has a ton of great names available. Part of this is no doubt due

The short answer is yes. The slightly longer answer is, yes, but no two letter domains remain. Can you register something like d3.io? Yes. Can you register something like dx.io? No.
