Agreed but not feasible overnight , and the time frame for this new tax is much closer to a sudden change than the required infrastructure overhaul. Adding a new train line cost $2bn over budget and about 5 years longer than planned.

You don’t seem to get it, these aren’t schools in central London. The residential neighborhoods and schools are both in the boonies. But sure, people should all cram into a congested and extremely overpriced housing market that is run by fo

You overestimate the public transportation. If you live in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of Epsom, or deep in some residential neighborhood in Surbiton, you’d have to walk 2+ miles just to reach a bus stop, and then a long journey

I read her book Lost in Math [1] which I have to say was quite a laborious endeavour. It is essentially a long-winded argument that is better summarised in this article and her YouTube channel, though she got to visit many scholars across t

As a funny aside, the author of one of the early works on wavelets [1] employed the first person plural pronoun with a footnote on the first page defining it as the “Royal we” [1] https://arc.aiaa.org/doi/abs/10.25

I played about 10 of them and got them all right. It’s very impressive, but I just happened to know that ears and teeth are particularly problematic for these generative models (for now).

I have used CXX in a project where I had to use a library available only in C++. There were Python bindings but somehow they were very slow. I could have rolled out my own pybind11 but wanted some of the Rust guarantees. It was probably mor

While I’m certainly not a good C programmer by any means (I have been exploring Rust more recently as an alternative my use-cases), I find this piece very interesting “Some People Were Meant for C” https://www.cs.kent.ac.uk/
