Apple is worth $1 trillion in the same way an asteroid hurtling toward Earth contains $1 trillion in precious metals. Tim Cook has yet to prove he can do more than maximize profits while someone somewhere is working on the thing that'l

I save anything that looks interesting in Pocket and sort it out later. My to-read list never gets bigger than 10 articles. Other people seem to struggle with this.

I would like to see a library drone delivery program. I can already order a book from almost any library in the state and have it delivered to the local one. Having a drone take it the rest of the way is the next logical step. That would al

A whole lot of people in here are discovering their tax dollars collectively fund a wonderland of knowledge, tools, and access they had no idea about. It's great. Go to your local library today.

I've seen a few companies with their own Mastodon (or compatible software) instances. They can post local-only for internal stuff or just not connect it to the fediverse at all. MIT even has its own.

Most feed readers these days will go and fetch the RSS link from the header if you copy a URL in. It's not great for promoting RSS, but it's not enough friction to stop me from using it.

It's the "I'd buy that on a t-shirt" problem. People who say it don't usually mean it, and the few who do aren't worth the trouble of making it available.
