India has ISRO Japan has JAXA The UAE have a space agency that even has a Mars mission running currently. Same for China. There's more I'm forgetting, but space stuff is not limited to Europe and the US.

Of course, in this case. It's up to the official to dismiss such constraints if unreasonable. But we got such laws and processes for a reason.

What if that window is looking straight into your bedroom or bathroom? I'd want to at least voice some concern over that. It's then up to officials to ignore that complaint or not. Having no way to express such concerns is faster

The choice given by gdpr is, roughly, either: no tracking OR do track but ask for consent. Those websites doing the cookie walls should have taken the hint to simply not do tracking. Instead, they chose to be annoying.

Sounds reasonable. Here in NL, everyone must get a new smart meter that has a separate counter for delivering back to the grid. IIRC, the grid company replaced it free of cost, if done before some date. The old ones (Ferraris meter?) just

Why no net metering? Is the output too low to bother? I get net metering is not great for various reasons, but why 'discriminate' against what kind of setup it is?

Yes, typically rooftop solar doesn't output when the grid is down. If the inverter doesn't get an AC sinus at 60 or 50 Hz, it won't do anything by default. Some systems can, in a so called 'island mode'. But this is

For me, this was not just about cost but principally about getting of natural gas. But regardless, it also made financial sense with the prices here in the Netherlands, in the long run. It was quite an investment, but it should pay off in t

See point 2, it's not about climate but our local environment, where too much nitrogen has been deposited. Maybe we should export the meat and ship the nitrogen with it and distribute the emissions instead of it all piling up here.
