YouTube was initially built with php, so the revenue argument is true.

Exactly. I’ve been writing JavaScript as long as I have been writing php and I prefer PHP by a lot.

Considering it’s now owned by WordPress it’s very unlikely. Matt mullenweg seems to be very prude (not that it’s a good or bad thing, it’s just a personality I guess). They could capitalize on all the weirdness and discontent from twitter a

Is there a legal definition of a web browser though? I think it’s an interesting topic.

I’m not entirely sure that’s a bad thing for the user though. A few years ago, you could click on pretty much any blog post and you knew you were getting Hugh quality or at least relevant information related to your search query. Nowadays m

It’s still very similar to php. Same syntax, same execution model. If you look at some hack snippets you would think it’s php (because it mostly is). Switching from hack to php and viceversa should be extremely easy. That being said, they c

It’s obvious why they went with python. Since Instagram was written in python and Threads is based on instagram, they’re probably using a lot of the libraries they already have for Instagram.

It was. But Facebook is worth billions. I’m pretty sure they could afford it. I have no idea why a company with their money and power go with a .net because the .com was taken by some random site. Some people have been theorizing that Faceb

With UIs like this is how you get regular people to migrate. The current server/instance is way too complex for the majority of the people. If this was available and promoted a couple weeks ago I bet there would be a lot more users now

I have no idea about the structure of the ids, I just typed some random integers (Mostly to see what their 404 would look like) and to my surprise got a real tweet! What are the odds. https://platform.twitter.com/embed/

Doesn’t take too many people to build a website like twitter. It’s not really hard and there are tons of mvc frameworks in pretty much any major language. Only one good programmer could probably create a clone. Of course the scale matters,

I don’t want to be that guy but iirc Sam was a wealthy person before OpenAi so it’s likely he had connections which other people didn’t have so there’s that. I could be wrong though.
