What's the danger in hitting a micro nuclear reactor with a rocket ? A shitty dirty bomb detonated near the powerplant ?

Then you got the wrong foldable phone - you should have gone for the flip - that's way smaller and more pocketable than air. Will probably get you similar battery stats.

If you mistake any of these for an apple watch at less than 100m you need glasses. There's nothing wrong with rectangular watches - a fat bezel less screen rectangle around your wrist is not the same thing. The pro comes closest to a p

Who is shipping/maintainig this ? Even node itself is maintained by OSS. That's one of the advantages of Microsoft .NET ecosystem - you can do a lot of stuff without pulling anything not shipped by Microsoft. I don't know of

There's no mistaking it for any watch out there - which means people wouldn't wear a watch like it if it wasn't for the function.

I was going to write that the only nerdier thing I can think of is wearing a calculator watch - but even that's like nerd fashion and having a rectangular screen strapped to your wrist is just all about utility.

Apple watch is like the definition of dorky looking - so much for that theory. Also flip phones aren't dorky and have a 2000s vibe - but they don't fit Apple "you can have any color as long as it's black" approach t

C# syntax is faster than Java because Java has no way to define custom value types/structs (last time I checked, I know there was some experimental work on this)

Why even have a database - let's just keep the data in CSVs, we can grep it easily, it's all bytes on a disk.

Also individual contributors often fail to grasp the big picture, what seems like an insurmountable issue to them is irrelevant or not a priority in the grand scheme of things. Or it's a pain point for them - but dealing with it will h

Nice one ! Curious since I know almost nothing about HW - do magnets screw with computer HW otherwise ? I would guess no since we don't use HDD anymore but not sure.

Check out Withings ScanWatch if you want ECG and a long battery life. The passive HR monitor, sleep tracking, SpO2, etc. are all shite compared to Apple but the ECG thing should be good enough I guess. My main selling point is that it lasts

But the distinction is that in-group requires blind obedience in authoritarian countries. Half this forum is calling their political leaders idiots and will work (vote) against them, they are still in group. This is not a small distinction.

OK but that's something that's beginning to happen in the US versus the default of authoritarian regimes - my point is that is not "pretty much the same" as OP put it. You might get physically attacked by some neandertha

Identifying something as a critical competitive industry, then place a bunch of hurdles in front of it's development, and sit confused when we get left behind - that's the EU special.
