PC desktop chips have 128 bit busses to right ? From what I know theoretical maximum memory bandwidth of chips is less than 100gbps - which is less than like base M5/M4 chips. So no matter how much compute you stuff in there it's

The category of things that don't "just work" on a Mac for me compared to Linux and even Windows is just a class apart. You can't compare shared buffers between phones being flaky or using face time on PC to answer calls

I'm not buying this argument - use it or lose it isn't even true in physical sense - sure if you stop working out you lose muscles/strength - but once you start back up the rate of progression is like 5x.

I keep hearing about how the app integrations will be where the AI value is and then I see the actual app integrations and they are between useless and mildly helpful. From what I can see Anthropic's big bet is that they will solve com

This isn't a binary thing - even if you prefer to build maintainable systems very often the trade-off is - you don't ship in time and there's no long term - the project gets scrapped. So even if it comes at the expense of lon

The point is that if you need performance you need to drop below tracing GC, and depending on your use-case, if that's the majority of your code it makes sense to use a language that's built for that kind of programming (zero cost
