IMHO D just missed the mark with the GC in core. It was released in a time where a replacement for C++ was sorely needed, and it tried to position itself as that (obvious from the name). But by including the GC/runtime it went into a c

I get where you're coming from and if this was a package I'd agree - but having this built in/part of the tooling is nice - one less dependency - bash isn't as ubiquitous as you assume.

They are using this to virtue signal - but in reality it's just not compatible with their businesses model. Anthropic is mainly focusing on B2B/Enterprise and tool use cases, in terms of active users I'd guess Claude is dista

That's a perfect example of making it overcomplicated, just in the FP direction. C# uses exceptions for error handling. It has it's own control flow primitives. C# developers know how to work with it, everything else uses it. Why

I can't say for sure because I don't know the full situation, but I've heard a similar story a few times and IMNSHO looking at it as "they made the wrong choice initially" is off because it assumes that a C# team co

I think by the time people are willing to spend that kind of money we'd have to be in AGI territory and at that point any economic bets are off - investing in AI feels strange for that reason - I don't see a world where the slop b

Why does this have to be TV based and not baked into YouTube app ? Considering how addictive YouTube scrolling is, and how quickly algorithm captures kids it should be mandatory. My PS5 has play time built in.

It's nearly impossible to block YouTube on a smart TV without third party apps, even worse on non-android ones. And the app is not uninstallable. I don't think this is b-tier devs, feels like intentionall neglect.
