> code that can't be read won't run for long There's plenty of ossified code people are scared to touch because they don't understand it, but stake their business on it :)

But you will care if that "python" breaks - you get to drop down to C/C++ and debugging native code. Likewise for adding features or understanding the implementation. Not to mention having to deal with native build tooling an

That's the part that makes current LLMs fundamentally flawed as AGI agents - unless you incorporate experience based knowledge validation/learning - the book knowledge you have is useless. Most of published research out there isn&

few months ago I tried to wrap up a MAUI PoC app from a more junior coworker, who failed to deliver anything working after weeks of trying. Then I spent two weeks on trivial shit and stuff you expect to work by default (pull to refresh, vid

Is software architect a common title in game dev ? It's been a decade since I've looked at the field but it kind of antithetical to the industry as I remember it.

I mean who cares about hypothetical benchmarks - when I try to apply these tools they fail more often than not. The only tool I can say I'm reliably using is Copilot context aware completions work very nicely and it's easy to get

TBH this sounds like a great candidate for rewrite - likely millions of hours of runtime/hour. Prettier is written on a platform with a history of such rewrites getting 10x perf increases. The only alternative that comes to mind is Go

It kind of is because .NET CLI includes more stuff to facilitate the interop (eg. operator overloading, reified generics, value types). It limits your choices when implementing languages on top but it then makes it usable from different lan

Nothing you said is unique to colour. Touch is a sensory interpretation as well - your interpretation of sandpaper is not the same as mine. There is no "red" other than what we've agreed on to be red - so there's no way

No, this only works for a few languages supported as plugins. Most of JetBrains IDEs are separate even if built on a same core. I have all products license and still can't use a single app to access all languages.

Shift burden from income tax -> property tax. My country (Croatia) has a similar issue and the finance minister even said he thinks this is the correct move but there's no "political will" to do this.

Let's not pretend copyright and intellectual property is somehow grounded in reality or logic. IP laws will have to get updated for generative AI - what that looks like will be determined by interest groups in play and legislators.
