I'm sure that's a minor reason why people don't have kids. The main reasons are economical in nature.

Also, even if we know for sure it's because of the vaccine and of those additional 6 cases, 3 died, we have to keep in mind how many more people would die from covid in 1.6M unvaccinated individuals.

Are the clots any different than the ones caused by COVID-19 itself? Do we know for sure it's just the AZ vaccine and not the body's reaction to the spike protein(that is, other vaccines should face the same issue).

Isn't the low blood platelet a direct result of the clots, isn't that expected? Don't the clots need/use up thr platelets in the process of clotting?

Is there a way to detecy COVID-19 infection post vaccination from blood? I presume you already have a lot of antibodies after vaccination.

Thanks, somehow with my software engineering mindset, I thought they somehow just copy&pasted the whole ARN sequence for encoding the spike protein from one virus to the other, and the end result should have been the same, but if its on

I seriously don't understand this. How does J&J vaccine offer 50%+ protection, but AZ does not? Don't they use the same technology? Don't they target the same spike protein?

Really curious, why is prophylactic treatment not possible? Does aspirine not cross the blood brain barrier?

I'm going to take a very low dosage of aspirin -- 75mg per day, this dosage has anti-cloting properties, the anti-inflammatory properties start at higher dosages.

AFIK, the dosage for blood thinning properties is 75mg, anti-inflammatory dosage is much higher. I'm not worried about blunted immune response because I've taken heaps of asprin when I had COVID-19 (it might be why I got tinnitus

I'm set to take the oxford d vaccine, but I could also take the pfizer vaccine. I've had elevated blood markers for clotting during covid-19, and now I hear of this. I'm thinking of taking 75 mg aspirin, before and after the

A lot more designs than were stolen by the west from the west or non-existant designs stolen from the east by the west. The parent comentator has a valid point, the East usually copied good designs from the West. Which they could improve.

Genuinely curios, what type of assets can only be liquidated 33 cents on the dollar? And what is the likelyhood Melvin had such a significant proportion of their portfolio in such assets?

Are you saying that Citadel just lent someone money to close short positions worth a very significant percentage of their total assets? (Melvin having 11 bilion in total assets and Citadel giving them 3 billion). That's what I was poi

Citadel din't bail them out and they didn't close the positions, if they did, the "bailout" would be a complete writeoff -- why would Citadel do that? Citadel probably gave them the cash to avoid a margin call, knowing t

Yeah, but all they can do is halt trading for everyone, that's not what Citadel wants. Citadel wants to stop retail investors from buying so they can both buy and sell to themselves and drive the price down and scare retail investors i

I really don't know enough about immunology to answer that -- but I presume most neutralizing antibodies wane over time. If you take antiretrovirals you're very unlikely to become infected with HIV, even if you take it after initi

Some influenza antibodies destroy certain neurons in your brain and you develop narcolepsy. This is both true for natural infection and first generation vacines. Later generation vaccines avoid this by not presenting certain proteins. My p

It's not just that. People do develop neutralizing antibodies against HIV. HIV, like other retroviruses, embedds itself in the cell DNA. Some cells remain dormant for weeks and then start producing virions. So the other problem with

That's a nice theory and it seems very likely to be true: that viruses have driven evolution, perhaps much faster than without them. But the cost for individuals is tremendous, 99.9999999% cases the infection would not be beneficial. P

I don't think in 1889 they used masks, social distancing and quatantines but also travel was much less back then. We just don't know how much % of the population got that virus then so we can't really compare.
