Something tells me the "botox" cosmetical procedures are expensive where only doctors are allowed to do it. Surely teeth regrowth must be more expensive and more complicated than that. A simple anesthesia for tooth cannot be perfo

No, no, their primary concern is their own interest. A lot of politics gets much harder in remote work, and this is what these people are best at. It's not productivity, it's politics that is much harder to do when remote working.

I've had multiple dentists(including my wife) tell me not to work on certain small cavities, or to use sensodyne. Some have been under observation for more than 20 years. I'm also sure they have re-mineralization treatments they d

There's overwhelming evidence against such a broad statement. There are good mechanics, cars are getting safer, cops do fight crime, soldiers do fight wars and so on, social workers so do their jobs, teachers usually teach and so on. Y

The problem is what is good for society can hinder progress in certain individuals, as in this case. It's not just a regular weapon, being acused of sexism or sexual harassment or God forbid rape is a nuclear weapon, it can do such tre

I've found that women in particular seem to really try to avoid any form of "open conflict" and seem to have a much harder time taking any form of "criticism". I'm much, much more likely to feel like I'm w

You are right that context is everything, but it works both ways. You can make a sexist joke without being sexist, but it can still be inapropriate/unprofessional, and it can still cost you dearly.

I clarrified it, basically someone made a remark/joke that is clearly sexist, but he never displayed sexism at all. It was just unprofessional I would say. For instance I can appreciate a dark joke that would clearly be sexist/rac

Immagine there was a non invasive method to detect lies. Presidential debates would be interesting. If we still had such debates or presidential elections after that :)
