Useful inhabitable landmass is the question I guess? If it's just the peaks of the island getting higher, then that land becomes increasingly hard to build on.

FUCK YES (excuse my profanity). I have a tool that converts HTML to Neural Speech and I always wanted to push arXiv papers through it, but couldn't be bothered with a PDF implementation.

Isn't Netflix only for one person? Whereas Youtube Premium Family is for... a family (4). What are you comparing here?

Cool. By the sounds of it, they needed the docker image in the first place because they chose fly.io. This guy is saying that Cloudflare wouldn't support it, but if they went the cloudflare route (which I'm not saying whether or n

Yup, this is exactly why I installed ublock origin on my grandparents computers. Malware and scams are too prevalent across the web, and unfortunately, google SERP and Youtube aren't immune.

Didn't they only need the 700MB dockerfile due to Fly.io requiring it?

"Next.js is eating React" and "Independence" are definitely two sections where I massively agree. I don't like Vercel, they seem... subtlely villainous. Hearing how much of a pain it was to maintain Next support for

Interesting idea. If I were ever to travel to Japan, I'd visit a lot of the cities and towns that are mentioned in Murakami's books, including those that were affected by the gas attacks.

Yeah ok, looks like Vivaldi has just replicated what Arc did. I downloaded the Arc browser, took a look, realized it offered me nothing (I don't care to sync what I'm doing on desktop to my phone), uninstalled.

ElevenLabs is better quality wise, but it's vastly more expensive. Azure Speech hits a really good price:quality ratio.

Another more UX issue. When I hit Advanced search, and then click Podcasts (or any) without a search query, it gives a "tab switch" like behaviour. Given that behaviour, When I enter a search term and hit enter Then as a use

Resubscribed. I liked Kagi when it came out, happy to give it another shot. The search UI seems broken on my Firefox due to some absolute styling. I had to set this in my Stylus config to fix .auto_suggestions { padding: 0; top: uns

I really like this spec. ASP.NET integrated it in dotnet 6 and it just makes thinking about what error should be returned from the server so much simpler.

Why charge on a subscription basis if you're getting a limited amount of usage? If Netflix charged me $12 and limited me to 5 shows a month, I'd be outraged. At least offer up one time payments, even if you mark it up 10-20%
