I disagree. There are those that work on sustainable, inexpensive, and not environmentally damaging energy production. This kind of work is pragmatic, as it approaches the problem as one we can solve. There are also those that seek to pun

Thought the same myself. More often than not, it all comes across like climate change is some vengeful god who we must sacrifice for and express an unshakable belief in. Would love to see more pragmatism and less dogma. I think that would

Not sure what you're trying to say here - that Krugman's words should not be considered seriously because "it was all in fun"? That he commented on a space in which he not qualified to do so "because someone told h

Good. Yet another reason we have a flood of cable cutters and record level distrust in media. Shame that the same journalists that played the same game with Iraq, and are doing so with Syria and Russia aren't facing the same. Somethi

>Can we talk about BGP flowspec instead? Filtering offensive traffic early and often can end DDoS once and for all. What about spoofing? Until broadband providers get serious about BCP 38, this is just cat and mouse.

Citation needed. Quite a limb to claim that internationalism is the lone reason that Europe hasn't imploded again.

Can you elaborate or provide sources? The language you use is incredibly dense, almost as if an online translation service was used.

I wish we could put a whimsical and fun spin on GMOs as well. Feed the planet with fewer chemicals and in harsher conditions? Boring. A corn hybrid spliced with 3 Hour Energy Supplement*, guaranteed to give you the step to the next level i

Always loved DuckDuckgo - kinda came across as a search engine that didn't seek to takeover the world, and only sought to fill a (necessary) niche. That seems more genuine than "don't be evil".

Aside from the fact that dumping garbage in a public park and leaving your lights on are not even remotely close in terms of impact, it's important to point out that one actually serves a utility. Having lived in cities where electrici

>Steve Jobs was lucky he met Wozniak Luck here seems to be the lazy way of explaining events. Rather, Steve Jobs likely felt the need to pair with a very smart engineer in order to do what he wanted, and came upon Wozniak.

I think that's the most notable trait I've come to consistently see in the successful - the willingness to try, and the insistence on continuing to try after failure.

This must be satire. Color of skin as a proxy for some form of "cultural original sin" is bad enough. Now we have the self-anointed determining degree of whiteness. What happened to just trying to be a decent human being and hel

Entirely up to if you'd like to understand it that way. The climate is guaranteed to change, whether by man's action or not. Let's treat it less like the act of a vengeful god, and more like a fact of life.

Does this surprise anyone? Nevermind that this all an exercise in charging windmills. How woeful it is, too. Billions of tax dollars spent in trying to defeat the inevitable. All with a "constitutional scholar" as a president.

Agreed. The few use cases I see that have a hard requirement for IPv6 typically involve arbitrary drivers like government regulations for unique addressing. I have yet to see much demand for IPv6 driven by functionality.
