It's just my personal opinion. If someone is clearly trying to remain undisturbed, I find it very disrespectful to distribute pictures of their face and home without their consent.

I thought that bitcoin as a whole would be badly shaken at the second Satoshi touched his coins. What if, now that he allegedly has a face, he could have allegedly legitimate needs to spend his coins on? * takes off tinfoil hat

As much as I don't like this - at the very least - ridiculously unethical article, I'm pretty sure a lot of papers would be dying to publish this piece.

Thanks a ton! It already has 3 notes :) If you're interested, I'll e-mail you some analytics as soon I have them. Let me know if there's any way I can buy you a beer.

Thanks. It sounds very interesting. From the little I've seen, seems like it could be used to simulate systems in a "smart cities" context. I will detinitely take a closer look.

I've had this problem with every single side project. The only thing that seems to work "out of the box" is my rhythmbox plugin/android app, but I guess I'm just piggybacking on people's search for "rhythm

Definitely. Altough people I know personaly haven't given me a lot of useful feedback. I tried to "Show HN" them as well, but both posts were instantly buried. I used criticue.com to get feedbacks too, but they were either &q

Hi, author here. I wrote a small introduction about simulating a super simple mass-spring-damper system using it [0]. This is only meant to be a fun weekends project, but I'm really interested in finding out what you guys think about i

Such a nice hack. If you like this, you might be interested in "Five Hundred and Seven Mechanical Movements", freely available on google books [0], which I found on HN a couple of months ago. [0]: http://google.com/

Thanks! Filtering is definately in the pipeline. The buzzing can get annoying, specially when combining several tracks. Filtering that out would be awesome.

This is beyond awesome! I'd love to read about your thought process while writing it, I guess a lot of people (including myself) would learn a lot from it. How long did it take to write?

I used to love gmail's webclient. When I moved to fastmail, I thought I'd miss that a lot. As it turns out, I started using thunderbird and K9 mail on my phone for reading e-mail and I never check my email from any browser at all.
