Thanks for the explanation. Please excuse my ignorance, but I want to understand something: the 'html injection' phase would be done by some sort of response spoofing? Also, given that I can write arbitrary javascript to their win

I had always looked to the OSI model as a _frame_ thought which a communition channel can be analysed. If I intercept my internet cable, I assume I can idealy measure the signal and fit it on the 7 layers of the OSI model. I fail (honestly)

Yes, that's true, but there is a big difference between you being responsible for (not) handing over something that is in your possession and being unaware of a presumed safe channel being unsafe.

What I use is thunderbird + enigmail, which encrypts the message with the receiver's public key and/or signs it with my private key. I don't know if that's the best thing for privacy. I would appreciate a lot to hear som

That would be one of the next steps. I just released an really simple MVP and got my head around other projects. I'm sure gonna refactor the thing eventually and make some things clearer.

I'm not sure I get it. You can start coding and just keeping on commiting and it will handle branching automatically. No doubts that I should make that clear somewhere.

I guess I need to rethink the whole layout. Under 'tips' there is a small explanation but might still be confusing. There's also a 'see an example' on the bottom, but I guess it's not that helpful either. Someone gave me a nice hint of doin

shameless plug: www.srctree.net - Ace editor + git + canvas for viewing commits/branches. I built it about a year ago, mostly for learning and fun. I haven't advertised it a lot but it seems relevant in here. I hope it's not off topic!

Now that's a feature I'd like to see on github: an asshole filter. What really bothers me is that, like me, I'd say a lot of those people learn daily from the work of others on the internet. What about giving something back? What about doin

They did say, in a post entitled "External Beta News" [1], that a private - but again, external - beta is to be expected in October. [1] http://blogs.valvesoftware.com/linux/beta-late-than-never-3/

After reading the Beej's guide to networking programming [1], I wondered what could be the simplest approach to making a multiclient socket server using unix pthreads/mutexes. I ended up writing [2] (C++), mostly as an exercise. Although I

This. Also: - City is simply too damn big to ride a bike to places; - Zero lanes for cyclists; - It is unbelievably scaring to ride motorcycles/bicycles in São Paulo. This kind of traffic get the worst of everyone out; - The way I see it, t

Yep. Here in Germany it goes something like that too. Being in college gives you right to ride busses/trains for free, but a lot of people and I rather ride our bikes everywhere. I really see no use for a car here. It would do more harm tha

I, too, use awesome daily. I might be wrong, but I guess the i3 window manager can group windows in a 'tabbed' style and other interesting stuff. I tried it for some time, but didn't really dig the way it handles two monitors. Apart from th

You can see the "git diff" between two nodes if you click with the right button on a node and with the left button in another one. For example: http://srctree.net/3S-2 Maybe I need to think of a better way to present this!

Thanks for the comment. My original idea was to create a tool that somehow helped people to debug pieces of code - perhaps a function or a single file - with help from others, so that others could pinpoint the "error" or present a nicer sol

I built srctree ( http://srctree.net/ ). In short, it aims to be a pastebin + git + canvas mix. An example of usage: http://srctree.net/3Q-1 It still needs a lot of work to become usable, but I am already happy I got this far!
