Most people with EVs charge at 6W/hr or less (mostly at home). Fast charge is only needed for road trips (which is not an issue if you have a 2nd car).

Most people buying an EV don't buy because of efficiency. One is ideological (I don't want pay the gas tax), another is performance (EVs have full torque at 0 rpm). Then there's Tesla's (successful) war against dealersh

Clearly you're going for some snark, but some form of purge would be a good signal that the company isn't putting up with bullshit ideology.

This is the UK - do you have a US example? Because I know that doing this with current POTUS will get you a visit from Secret Service.

That's the ultimate cop-out. There is a way you can expose coordination with internal teams and colleagues without "I've reached out to a colleague who has provided me with some additional context" or "this work re

Do better? No, Tan and YC need to understand this will impact their image. Free speech has consequences. And speech that has unhinged threats (even if it has a disclaimer that it's not) has potential consequences with law enforcement.

I see Sinofsky's defense split into these a) Defending the industry's interests b) Defending US interests c) Defending capitalism I'd say (c) is the highest calling for someone like Sinofsky. His worldview is that companies l

Microsoft clearly wants Apple to spearhead this viewpoint that platform owners can't be regulated by legislation. It's entirely logical for them.

When you cherrypick your comparison options, you can come up with some crazy statistics. What vehicle do you drive, and would you honestly compare it with a Model X (a large SUV)?

Where did you get 40%? The EV version of my car (Ford Focus) is 10-20% more than a typical Ford Focus (depending on trim).

I drove my Focus EV like a madman for 6 years and only recently changed my tires. Sure it’s lighter than a model Y or even a Leaf but it has decent acceleration if you know how to drive it.
