I absolutely love that Grady includes full transcripts of his videos. It's much faster to read the article than watch the video, even though that hurts him by 1 view. I just watched parts of the video after reading because I wanted to

Important to note that it does not include a fine. So the penalty for breaking the law is being forced to follow the law for 5-20 years? (Or am I simplifying it too much and missing something?)

Thank you for pointing that out. I'm recalibrating my own behavior to upvote more. Is it the desired behavior of HN that silent upvotes are for agreement? (Instead of a positive comment that doesn't add substantially to the discou

Uv and uvx have been such game changers when we tried to distribute our python packages.

"New clues as to why the ancient and advances Indus valley civilization vanished" is the original article title. More informative, less clickbaity. Other than that, I quite enjoyed the article and the parallels to how modern citie

Probably a better title would be "Found a way to make people aware of opportunities for kindness" The hypothesis that they propose is that 'the addition of an unusual character like Batman on the subway made people who otherw

Does it need liquid cooling in order to sustain operation at that power density? I see ports on its edges that look like fluid connectors.

So Google did roll out some of this in it's built in Gemini for chrome. I'm not too sure how I activated it, but on one occasion it did launch into a search of my history when I was trying in the address bar. It looks like Google

Love the idea I found though that yielding just one response per side seemed pretty weak, especially when it's not always picking the best arguments for each side. (And not returning enough of the passage to fully show the argument) It

People who take the time to genuinely write out and present an answer. I had a fair understanding of passkeys before reading your response, but I too learnt something from it. Thank you.

This was exactly my thoughts. The article proposes a new word 'architecture debt' for most of what people consider 'tech debt', and then tries to say that architecture debt is a more serious concern than tech debt.

Could you share a link to what the pill you take is? (Specifically how many mg to have the effect you're describing)

I agree. Good core idea, but it feels quite stretched. Most of the examples used to justify creation vs consumption can also be explained by low scale vs high scale (cost sensitive at high scale) or portability.

Personally I make use of it heavily in how the TV is used at home. An old laptop with Firefox+unlock origin connected via HDMI. I invested in two wireless handheld keyboard+pointer inputs to match the different input styles of me and my wif

Where is that located in the car? Near the gear stick I assume? Does it move a mouse pointer on the screen?

That is so sad. The knob on my CX30 is such a favourite feature for me that I want to rule out car models that don't have a physical input in that location. Sad to hear that I'm in a minority for loving that input.

Conflicting commands from multiple clients is one of the open questions at the moment. We're also building out a technical steering committee to help guide our direction on topics like this. Safety is a big category where having direct

It should be possible to do it from one client. The MCP server would handle the parallel connections. We're using websockets as the interface between the server and the robot itself, which to the best of my exploration does have the ab

I'm actually reviewing a PR right now that enables the MCP server to have a library of common robots with a specification file for each robot containing important context to the language model. The demo video with the Unitree Go (robot

Not starting from clean slate improves the interaction significantly. I started from a clean slate on the industrial robot video in order to highlight how much is possible even when starting from one.

Thank you! The underlying stack definitely can connect to multiple robots simultaneously. Our current implementation is sequential, where the language model can connect from one robot to the next (and then back). But it is definitely possib

Thank you! This has been an exciting project to work on! For the industrial robot (in the video on the main readme page) I intentionally gave Claude no context beforehand. All of the inferences that you see there are based on information th
