They've always been like that. I had the misfortune of having to integrate with some of their stuff they'd thrown on to ruby on rails back when it was teetering on the top of hype mountain. Realistically 99% of their back end at t

They still sell a big chunk of original HP parts as well. I got a couple of bits for a 25 year old power supply a few months back.

It's a shame really. Their new calculators are crap made by the lowest bidder (Kinpo Electronics) who make TI and Casio stuff too.

HP ejected the three major "old HP" concerns you mentioned in 1999 into a company called Agilent and proceeded to make a complete universal fuck up of everything that was left.

Comparing it cable is unfair. At least cable worked properly with my television unlike the HDCP infested upgrade nightmare that streaming turned into. I started just pirating the content I was subscribed to because it was easier. Then they

HDCP is why I steal most of my content. None of the streaming devices will talk to the buggy HDCP implementation on my Samsung TV.

Not at all. Some people, me included, look at hardware and it falls to bits. Really they're not particularly durable machines. Apple could do a lot better. Thinkpads are ok though. I haven't murdered one of them. Yet. I've tr

I think I got 18 months out of my last two MacBooks before they gave out. Moved to windows desktops now. Much better value propositions, especially now as we don’t have to go out any more! :)

As a British person we tend to tell everyone we do that and people believe it. However it’s not necessarily true. We produced a ridiculously large amount of crap to the point we nearly killed our manufacturing industry. If there’s anything

No all GCSE so 14+ students. The issue is usually that they freeze or crash under "desktop use" all the time and people pull the power out and back in again to reset them. This flexes the HDMI and USB connectors which eventually b
