Maybe i'm offended because, as a white man, it leaves me open to all kinds of statistics about how white men are overwhelmingly likely to be serial killers, compared to other groups. And it would follow that we could do a better of cat

What's the other side here, that the guests are to blame for the cancellation? I would say Tami Barker's behavior makes it seem that the only thing her guests did wrong was show let their ethnicity show before they got the keys.

For the record, both myself and my partner 'used' stories this month, only to say 'yuck, can I turn this off?' But hey, you gotta show off those metrics.

Austin's housing market exploded over a series of years prior to its new tech hub status, tech workers only make up a fraction of the influx of monied Californians flooding the poor little town.

I couldn't agree more, this kind of stance is embarrassing from a professional standpoint. It's ridiculous to act like this one special arrangement of plastic on a computer is so crucial to development. All 'real' devel

I have to point out that this last point is totally ridiculous. Twitter is functionally just like like Xanga or Livejournal or any other dead blogging platform you care to name. Just because you have a community of dedicated users and a bet

Yeah this is a misleading title - no part of the data was targeting people based on their demographics, unlike the hordes of ad trackers that are invading our private lives. They were selling a tool. Was the plan to target PoC with that too

I'd like to barge in and call false dichotomy on this. Despite the excellent citation, I don't think it's correct. I believe technology should let people enjoy more of their lives, not replace it. Understanding is essential t

My roommate and I really had a great time watching this over a couple of beers. We're not even especially gifted in the realm of solder and circuits, but it was fun speculating and marveling at the thorough breakdown.

Wow, in 20 years Japan will be producing some amazing technology. I think people underestimate how transformative an understanding of programmatic problem solving can be. I'd put it only slightly under literacy.
