Love cp-algos. Great quality, also love the sample code. One of my favourite write-ups: https://cp-algorithms.com/string/z-function.html

I have my CapsLock key remapped to Escape with `setxbkmap` and yet it's not recognized in the modal editing mode (I have to actually press Escape) - anyone else experiencing that?

Agreed on Tsoding. I'm always impressed with all the ideas, very original stuff.

I imagine all the media attention is due to the door plug fiasco with everyone piling onto any news about Boeing aircraft (even if it's not really even worth talking about). It's a shame that the MAX tarnished the 737's histo

There is a way to use fail2ban together with nginx's rate limiting to implement a temporary ban on addresses that are repeatedly abusive. As far as I know this is one of the least friction ways to achieve that. The limit_req directive

I'm not sure we'll ever get any clear data on this but I don't think this is a very outlandish claim.

Thank you, I really enjoyed the post. I also found the explanation very clear (I like the notation!). I have to say that while the necessary part of the proof is very satisfying, the sufficient part feels a bit mechanical. Any background on

I think GP meant: how do you go from watching the obfuscated video to going, "To see the message I need to use mix=frames=36 with the following weights..."

I think GP meant that his implementation doubles the capacity of the array on resize as opposed to increasing by 1.5 or some other factor.

Computer Science is very broad so the answer will be different depending on what you'd like to focus on. Algorithms, data structures, systems, graphics, networking, more theoretical CS etc. That said, for algorithms I could recommend C

OP here. For some context, something I should have mentioned in the original post but failed to do: I was not intending to do a professional pivot to an AI role; it is more of a personal interest. I used to be really excited about this stuf

That's exactly correct; I currently want to learn this more so in a hobby/personal interest fashion. I think the field is quite competitive already and I'm not fooling myself about doing novel model-architecture work professi

Do you mean ``` def add_item_to_list(item, list_to_add=[]): list_to_add.append(item) return list_to_add a = add_item_to_list(1) a.append(3) b = add_item_to_list(2) ```

It is different variations of the Infinite Hotel in a format suitable for kids. It deals more with the idea of infinity in general I think and tries to frame this using multiple examples.

Start with the former, see how well it works. Fine tuning the whole thing could potentially take far more work (but could also be worth it - the answer is probably that this depends on the practical use case you've got in mind).

Is there any difference in using char vs unsigned char then? I understand these two types are different as far as the compiler's concerned. Would they behave differently too?

For me it's these little things that make working with newer C++ standards so much easier. Always felt like iterating over anything was cumbersome. No longer the case.
