Lol what. It's the title of the article. OP said "It is", referring to the title, that it is a good investment. "Most Americans think NASA’s $10 billion space telescope is a good investment" in case you missed it.

Knowledge for what? What do we want to know? Is it for the sake of putting in a text book or showing neat pictures in a museum that people will forget about by the next exhibit? What did spending billions getting to the moon get us, braggin

Why is it an investment though? What's the expected return? How does that compare to other options?

Do you not remember the prevalence of viruses in the early 2000s? And how malware used clever UX to get people to install things?

Thanks for sharing, I've been thinking about this too. But I've also mulling over whether spending my time looking at _any_ endless algorithm suggestions is what I personally need. You know, happiness and meaning and all of that.

It works when you curate it. I removed lots of "friends" and family. Joined hobby groups, and now it's a good source of relevant events for me.

What about ISPs? Other trackers? The problem is Government's abuse of power.

What does one million followers mean though? Who cares about that unless you can monetize. Teens can’t monetize so their social capital is views.

What is cutting edge about it? What gaps is it lacking, and why not put thodr in more established tools? Basically, what problem is this solving and way throw out years of experience in the other tools?

And neither does regulation preventing purchasing porn either. But be explicit about what’s ok and what’s not if you’re going to regulate it. Otherwise companies decide for themselves and we end up here.

Really? You think a company that likes money says "You know what, we don't need to make any more.". Given that they like money, they're probably afraid of losing money from lawsuits due to breaking regulation.

I don't believe that. These companies want to make money and would love to make more. They also don't want to lose money, so they find ways to decrease risk. Their lawyers probably tell them what's risky and draw the line the

I'm not sure what you're asking. I did lots of my instrument training in an xplane simulator. Physically pushing buttons helped me create a flow that then felt natural when flying in the plane and in clouds for the first time.
