I didn't mean "Upper Coast", I implied Upper West Coast with my slash, which is a common referral to northern Oregon and Washington around here. Probably not clear in my reply.

It's arbitrary. We generally refer to "West" as 'West of the Mississippi River'. Mid-West as Ohio-ish to around the Mississippi River (i.e. Midwest (Ohio, Indiana); Upper Midwest (Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, I

Please don't make assumptions on something you don't know anything about. Even many northern US states (around the same Latitude as Madrid, north), on average, are 30-35+ every day during the summer and 0C to -10C in the winter.

Can someone explain to me exactly how this works? It's not the oscilloscope producing the sounds, correct? Rather the visualizations from an audio file? EDIT: Excellent, thanks!

What's really scary about this, is that it can be edited by anyone before being posted online to make you either look like a victim or an instigator. It's then picked up by the media (which apparently are just influencers or Redd

If it was "long distance", you still had to by the minute. There were plans out there that allowed free weekends or other deals, but generally this was true nationally. If it was a local (same first 3 digit prefix of our 7 digit

Yes. I think TNG is overall a better, comfortable show, but DS9 is more of a "space-opera" (akin to Babylon 5 or Battlestar Galactica), with a few one-offs episodes. Ronald Moore wrote both BS:G and DS9, so you see very similar

As of kernel 6.2, discard=async isn't needed anymore. It got a fix in 6.3[1] [1]: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Btrfs-Discard-Tuning-Linux-6.3

While I agree with you (KDE user myself), I think the two primary desktops (Gnome/KDE) are serving two different purposes at this point. Gnome seems to be catering more towards a 'hybrid' approach, easier to use with touch, l

It's usually way over exaggerated in the US. The "I'm suing for $50000000 because I was the stupid one" is rare, which is why it hits the news. While it's true we have lots of lawyers, you need them for everything

Didn't Microsoft and Apple both do this in the early-Mid 2000's? I believe Bill Gates and Steve Jobs both 'retired' but were both brought back upon poor performance?

Serious question, as I don't know much about vehicle physics: Why not just put a bunch in the (now empty) engine compartment and gas tank area to spread them out a bit? Do they weigh a lot more then a fully built ICE engine+transmissio

I don't understand why automakers aren't taking traditional small ICE vehicles and throwing the electric components in it. Besides having to spread the weight of batteries out a bit, is it really much harder (I'm not an engi

Let me guess, the Spotted Lanternfly? They are all over here (SE PA). It was entertaining watching the old man (easily 85+) from my neighborhood walking around with a broom brushing them off trees and smashing them with his walker.

Looks like it handles a lot of items 'Shut Up 10' and 'Windows 10 cleaner' does. Great to have everything rolled into one spot, customizable, and easy to understand. Great work.

More often then not, someone doesn't pick up from the developer and it just... fades away. Shame, Latte is a fantastic project and is incredibly customizable and uses less resources off KDE's bars.

Honestly, At this point, KDE is just as light as XFCE and Gnome is pretty low too. From my testing, minimal KDE on Arch or Gentoo install pulls it ~450-500mb at boot, Manjaro and Suse around 550-600mb. Fresh Gnome on Arch or Gentoo I'
