I don't have a source, but I remember reading that a child observing a parent reading (As opposed to a parent reading to a child) was a better indicator of whether the child would be a reader. But this is heresy without a source.

Well, maybe to put it more generously: 1. Build a site in ruby (insert langauge/framework the creators are most comfortable/familiar with and can iterate quickly). 2. Build a community of a certain size that causes it scaling problems. 3. I

Did you read the article? The title may be a bit misleading, but having read the article, it's obvious this is about how easy the tools they suggest make building (scaffolding?) an AirBnB app, not how easy it is to build an AirBnB business.

All HBO has to do is open "HBO Go" to non-cable subscribers, and they'd get a flood of takers. But they still make too much money of cable subscriptions to do that, so we have to wait for the tipping point when cable becomes a drag on HBO v

I think it's time articles like these start suggesting an infrastructure as code product, like chef or puppet, to do the heavy lifting. I feel like doing this stuff by hand should be considered insecure and outdated..

Almost anything that involves subjective judgement can cause this sort of thing, I think. Because at that point it is about you. At a certain point, iOS vs Android or Ford vs Chevy comes down to something personal. Something about you made
