It's mostly a joke. We can't even get ecological clearance to build medium density housing in most of the area, let alone blow up a couple mountains. What can happen is slow encroachment into the bay from the sides. It's alre

I vote we dig up the mountains and fill in the bay with the dirt. Take care of the shortage of land and fire risk at the same time. Let the masses flow back into affordable housing in the new interburbs between the peninsula and East Bay

These specific claims are flaky at best but hard to argue over since anyone can construct enough cases for or against their position to be right enough not to change their opinion of C. You can absolutely beat C in everything you list. And

Language designers are pretty clever people and understand a great deal about the successes and failures of languages. I think if you look at a lot of what Rust is doing today (and C++ yesterday, for better or worse) you'll see a lot o

More specifically here the humans in the process are the credit reporting agencies, which shouldn't exist at all and neither should systems to keep them up to date. I've also seen automation fail spectacularly because of inconceiv

I think the question is a bit more specific in the context of the halting problem We know by contradiction that we cannot write a program that determines if any program halts, if the program being checked also contains the program that dete

Yes, and hospitalization numbers are one case statistic. That's a "why should we lockdown" and not "what metrics do we use to decide how hard to lock down"

The lockdowns (if you could call them that, they're a joke) are driven by case statistics. If the cases go down the lockdowns will stop.

Fairchild showed the critical mass is one, as long as employees of that one business are free to go spawn their own. Being pro-worker is not being anti-business, but it is an explicit reframing of policy initiative.

You can buy a helicopter. They're expensive, loud, and dangerous. The noise is really bad and one of the reasons I'll vote against any local ordinance that would make heli-transit more available.
