Yes I think thats what the original commenter was missing. Pattern matching is not new ( but it is awesome ), there are already expectations of how it would look in Python. I can't wait for this feature!

I think the markets have stopped being a barometer for the economy for a while now. Personally I'm just "getting while the gettin's good" , I'm guessing a lot of people are the same, if it's still making money

You can absolutely do this, many of the best programmers I have met are self taught, and you have an existing college degree that's just going to make you more valuable. You are going to need to sell it though, you need a good looking

It's so true, I'd say over half of 'finance/trading' books are almost entirely about psychology and their own personal take, it's really discouraging.
