Svelte is so pleasurable to work with. I'm still a beginner but making my own components that can interact with dom elements (for things like three.js/d3.js/peaks.js) was clear from the documentation almost immediately. I

I managed to get syncthing running well in my rpi4 but the sync was just abysmally slow. I'm on gigabit internet however the time delay between syncing and then syncing itself was slow. I think it is more to do with a delay in handshak

I understand nuance in communication, but its so obviously a lie when a business says they care about you, you are their most priviledged customer etc, etc. They are literally baseless claims that dress up awkward scenarios. They are lies,

I agree with you, but its more about the message you send when you reinforce and inadvertedly support a certain way of doing things or sharing information. Some would prefer it was 100% open down to the backend.

I think the parent commenter might have an aversion to people ubiquitously storing their ideas on a closed source platform rather than rolling their own.

Sorry this is just wrong. What is your basis for saying that HRTF are never used in commerical DAWs? Have you read anything by Bob Katz or Rashad Becker? Or perhaps you're not aware of the several options people reach for to perform mu

You say this like it's bog standard but adding HRTF and compensation for speaker distance are not part of a standard panning algorithm. This is more likely to exist in another module, such as for ambisonics or correction.

I am a big fan of the Lua LOVE framework. It's all Lua and very minimal boilerplate code. Recently there was a post about a game called BYTEPATH and the developer put up an entire tutorial on how they made the game including hacking in

Depends really. Something like iPlug2 ( https://github.com/iPlug2/iPlug2 ) would allow you to write code once and compile to all these targets.
