Long shot, but I thought I'd ask: Is there any way you guys could offer a browser-testing suite for web developers, or even just old versions of the browsers? Getting multiple versions of IE on one machine is a nightmare. The guys at Xenoco

Design looks amazing, great work. I really like the concept, and the pricing seems very reasonable. If I had a yard I would definitely sign-up.

I have to agree with the author, this is ridiculous. They even do this to tinyurl: http://bit.ly/cGLU0o Tinyurl was without a doubt bit.ly's #1 competitor, especially when their service launched, and they know you can't edit a tinyurl. Se

I also use the time based filtering a lot. For example, if I want to see a recent Obama speech I missed. Its nearly impossible to find the one you want without time-based filtering.

Keep going, even if this isn't the site. Like you said, you've come miles in just one year, and you've achieved more than you're giving yourselves credit for. Turn off Mixergy and get to work. :)

I like your concept, but I'm sour on your company because of the blatant piracy that's allowed. I know filtering content is hard, but I think you could do a better job. For example: http://www.google.com/search?q=paul+graham+hackers+and+pa

True, but reddit has less traffic, less users, and less features. For example, Digg shows you which of your friends dugg a story, which is far from trivial. I like reddit better, but the digg guys are also doing some cool stuff.

Tip for others cleaning their profiles: When you go to the Application Settings page make sure to change the drop-down from "Recently Used" to "Authorized." Otherwise you will not see all the apps/websites that are associated with your prof

I've had Clear for a few years at my office. Its gotten a bit faster recently, but the latency is still terrible. It will also arbitrarily cut out for a few hours with no explanation. Unfortunately, there are no better deals for business

I'd have to agree. I've been using CS3 heavily for a few years now, and have installed it on 3 computers during that time. The UI doesn't get in my way, and my install experience has been fine, considering its actually installing 8 programs

Good point. For example, the vector for the recent Google "hack" seems to have been good old IE6: http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/news/2010/01/microsoft-want...

Hey Jay, thanks for your detailed response. 1) The problem is this: If I set up a new "filter", I have to wait until someone triggers it to see what my response will look like. In my case, that could be days or weeks. So it would be great t

It sounds like you're making a pretty decent amount of money if you owe $27k. Have you double-checked those numbers? Do they add up using back of the envelope math? Is that all income tax, or did you forget to pay your SS/medicare/unemploym

I like the idea. I know this is an MVP, so please take my comments with a grain of salt: 1) I'm not sure I trust your system yet. Can I preview what it might have said to my followers (or strangers!) before activating a filter? 2) Does it r

Is <canvas> part of an accepted W3C standard? I know its in the HTML5 draft, but I didn't think it was yet a standard. The license he quoted says Apple would provide a royalty-free patent once <canvas> becomes part of an off

I agree with you, and that's why we usually decide to support IE6. But there's some things that just can't reasonably be done in IE6, and I think its OK to drop support in those cases instead of canning the feature entirely.

I don't mean to be rude, but could you expound upon this a bit? What was the feature, and why was supporting IE6 critical to moving forward with it? I'm not in any way arguing that IE6 isn't a PITA. I suppose its the "holding back" part of

Side point: why is supporting IE6 mandatory? Its been retired since 2005. We support IE6 wherever reasonable, but if you're building something that needs <canvas>, I'd just do it. What was the feature in this case?

I am a professional web developer. IE6 is one of the many platforms I have to support. Between the different versions of Firefox, Safari, IE, Chrome, and Opera its about 10 browsers that reasonably should be tested for a given site. I guess

Thanks, I see it now. It was linked to my abtain profile, and I didn't realize I could change that to whatever I wanted. IP: 75.93.212.230. It shows up as Greensboro on most sites, which is just one of the shortcomings of geolocation by IP.
