I did not know about this. But suddenly Eminems Without me text makes sense all these years after :) Now let's go, just give me the signal I'll be there with a whole list full of new insults I've been dope, suspenseful with a

Depends on your goal. You could also keep your diet consistent and do more exercise to produce a deficit. If your goal is longevity, then this may be a viable option. If your goal is to be faster, stronger or bigger, then this is probably n

I love that your analogy hit me so hard that I came to question my iPhone SE. I think the main issue for me is that I have not found a better alternative elsewhere. There are some interesting locked down and privacy focused variants of Andr

I work on old motorcycles and cars. I do photography both digital and analog. Then I lift weights and finally I read a lot which also leads to me writing a bit about the interests that I have. It can be difficult to find time for work :)

My own toughts on this is that it is hard to quantify. The end result of a quantity-related goal should be to spend more time reading and not necessarily reading more books. Finishing a book can take anywhere from a day to a several months.

I get the scenario where people use "AI" for their purposes. That is of course a very real scenario. But the question I raises was in relation to the OP's point about "AI" taking over the World and exterminating hum

The thing that puzzles me is "why". What would be the purpose? How would "it" obtain a sense of "I" and a purpose to keep "I" alive and to do what? What would "it" be?

Is it feasible to keep old MacBook up to date with regards to security patches? I have an old Mid 2014 MBP, but unsure how "dangerous" it would be to keep using it still?

All these replies makes me want to buy yet another battery for my old 2014 MBP. But the last two gave up very quickly - so any ideas as to where I can get proper batteries for the old MacBooks?

Wonderful comment! I was about to reply here, but it spawned so many thoughts in my head that I ended up writing a longer conversation with myself :) ( https://jmreiche.github.io/analysis-paralysis )

I have the Gen 9 X1 Carbon running Ubuntu. It has been my daily driver for years without any issues. Whether it is developer focussed can probably be discussed, but it has to be considered high-end.

I like the concept of challenges you have on your blog. It is a good way to get out and shoot more. I have a mix of digital and analog photos here: https://jesperreiche.com/category/photography/

I will by no means say that I followed or knew him. But the name was familiar and I suddenly remembered who he was and that I had his book on my wishlist for christmas. Sorry to hear about the loss. I do like some of his approaches to life.
