Exactly. Born and raised in Texas (still here), I've tasted PLENTY of bad jerky in my time, and we're a state that loves meat.

Exactly. I've been in love with Hulu but after Boxee and now this, a big FU HULU. I had no problem the commercials in Hulu (would even pay for premium Hulu access), I know people need to get paid. But if the conglomerates are going to force

If I was a programmer I would probably pickup a Dell Netbook, install OSX on it, and use that as my learning tool. I appreciate your objective, but I think that calculator is a step backward. Maybe since I'm not a programmer, I'm missing so

Sometimes there's only so many ways to skin a cat, art is very much an influential process and converging ideas are common. I can dig up PRINT and INTERACTIVE magazines from the 90-00's and show you plenty of designs that have been "copied"

A blog is one of the best tools for organic search, so I disagree with you about it's importance. But I do agree that it's not the end-all marketing strategy by any means. Speaking of, what is FF marketing strategy? Aside from TechCrunch/Ma

I think you missed the point of my comment. I know why this is a cool feature and I have a FF account. But if your average user looked at the blog post, about 95% of the people that use Facebook/MySpace have no idea how it's vastly differen

A cool feature poorly communicated. Perhaps one of the reasons FriendFeed has struggled to get over the early-adopter hump is because their mar-com has a few holes. Not to discredit any hard work but I think FF should consider how this file

Good stuff, this must be a relatively new section. I've also found Yahoo UI and performance section a great resource too. For better or worse, Yahoo! apps tend to be heavier on the design and graphics side so they have some good practices i

While I agree with the context of your article (though sometimes it is VERY necessary to rebrand), I think you missed an important point on how to avoid rebranding woes. Most established companies tend to favor unique typographic or vague l

I'm rather sick of the internet's armchair critics and non-contributing zeros. Anyone can have any opinion (and unfortunately the internet makes that too easy), few people can actually make a difference. You'd think all the TC haters could

How about just stop wasting your company's money looking at inappropriate material on the clock? The chances that a site contains inappropriate material relevant to your job is slim to none, IMO.

Are you saying that's a bad thing? Getting traction is extremely challenging. Most startups reliant on UGC do this, in the past we've done it with Amazon MT too. I don't think it's something to look at negatively when you take into consider
