Yes, it's a waste of time. It works, kinda, sorta, but only after shutting down every other app, and even then occasionally it seems to fall over. The model is larger than 8GB in memory, so it's agonizing.

This is bad faith nonsense. You can do better. Be better.

Many office buildings have a single bank of toilets per floor. If a given floor is subdivided into n apartments, n-1 of them are probably not proximal to the existing toilet plumbing, so it's an expense, at least.

So many answers seem to be rooted in the 50-year Cold War period, and none of them seem to address the 30 years since. If you have two evils, you choose the lesser of two evils. If you eliminate the greater of the two evils, all you're

I think the assumption that the US is a preferable superpower--likely true at one point--is what led to the US behaving increasingly badly, taking the wrong side of those trade-offs, to the point that I can think of several candidates I wou

Under many circumstances, even most, this is generally true-ish. However, experimenting with Stable Diffusion in recent weeks has shown me that when you need to load something in memory that's greater than 8GB, only physical memory gre

They use words. Explicitly. Apple holds events several times a year, observable by the public. Many, many people tend to watch them. In those events, they tell stories, they show ads, and they talk about the past, present, and future of the

Oh, duh, don't need to rely on a generally-available remote friend. I disabled iMessage on my phone and send SMS to my partner while watching their phone. Had them respond. In both cases, sub-second delivery. There is normally no delay

That is very much not my experience. At all. I just tested it again, in case something had changed recently without my notice, and a friend with whom I only use SMS responded within five seconds of me hitting send, so clearly there was no d

I have an iPhone X (2017). My partner has an iPhone 12 (2020). The difference is very noticeable across those three years. I think often a single year's improvements are negligible but real, so any given two year's improvements ar

RCS does not provide end-to-end encryption, and requires a phone number. That's two things iMessage does that RCS doesn't do.

Does RCS work for devices that do not have a phone number? My reading suggests it does not, that there is still a carrier dependency. iMessage has no carrier dependency, no phone number dependency at all. Kids all over the world use iMessag
