I think the cultural fascination started with UFOs started with the first sighting on June 24, 1947: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_Arnold_UFO_sighting After that, it was picked up in movies and TV, with the fir

I like the idea behind the semantic web and if everyone had the bandwidth to commit resources to it, it would definitely add additional abilities to the web. But, in my experience, the time spent on adding RDF support wasn't worth the

You misunderstood. I was saying that this new planet is not the 9th planet if you include dwarf planets as "planets".

The time you spent on this is much appreciated. Everyone is trying to get a handle on the best way to do web development. I also appreciate people that either (1) buck the SPA/JS trend for the purpose of trying to make the web more acc

I don't think you're ignorant. To me, it is niave for anyone to think that HTML meets all needs for response data. Having to support everything that HTML can do relay limits the practicality. Similarly, HTML can't support eve

If it really understands how to eradicate and survive, wouldn't it hide itself, then pop up later to eradicate when it can? I think people here are assuming AI is at a lower level of complexity than it really is. Read here where even S

A problem with the domain name is that to mean OS means operating system. Also, hardcore free software folks hate using the term "open-source" for their free code. But, I hope it does well and will keep an eye on it.

If there are any problems with getting food, clothes, and care to people, it's ignorance, apathy, and greed. Not whether cars can drive themselves or not.

You are assuming perfection. Have you considered that these cars may cause more deaths? What if a solar flare affected GPS and caused all of the navigation systems to injure or kill almost everyone driving at the same time? While that may b

Yes, but that much money could be used to feed, clothe, and take care of a lot of people. Why can't they instead spend 1B on buses, which would serve more people than support for driverless cars, and 3B on the homeless?
