This is a great post. As a long time TNG fan (and fan of The Greatest Generation podcast), I never grokked DS9. I tried many times, but the first season episodes are just so bad that I can never make it though. An episode guide like this is

As someone not invested in any of this at all, its fascinating to watch as people jump in completely oblivious to risk involved. I've listened to friends and family discuss investing "only $100" or "only $1000" for

How come every time I try, the response from AWS is abysmal? I've been told this many times, and try to reach out, but it is always a pitiful case of broken telephone.

I didn't get far enough, unfortunately. This was a number of years ago, and not the panacea for ML/AI that we have now. The variance in data is certainly a concern, but the free/inexpensive nature of the app itself was intend

Back in my sleep-deprived days after my oldest was born I had an app idea similar to this, but with an added dash of AI/machine learning. Imagine a bunch of parents using a free/relatively inexpensive application, tracking feeding

How? Could you elaborate on the type of investigation you undertook that led you to become a skeptic? The scientific community is so overwhelmingly on the side of climate change that you'd have to be really selective to see/read i

Agreed. I sold in Toronto nearly 4 years ago believing that the end was nigh. Stupidest decision of my life. 4 years appreciation on that property is likely another 200-300k that I walked away from. Should have rented, rather than sell.

Yeah, you're spot on. Grasshoppers and frogs were everywhere in the 80's when I was a kid. I can't remember the last time I even saw a grasshopper. Not sure if it's related, but I rarely see dew any more either.

This is a crazy list. Great to see it all in one place though. I don't pay that much attention to the domain registration space any more, but has the explosion of TLDs achieved the goal of reducing .com cash runs? It certainly seems li

We're using it with Fusion and, I believe, it's a big part of the issues we're experiencing. We have both Virtualbox and Fusion users that have the same issues.

Yeah, the first advertisement I heard for Rackspace's consultancy service for AWS was a bit of a shock. Having heard it, I'd assume that they're pulling away from their own cloud-based service offerings at some point. Just co

I love this idea. It's not important for production / env that are managed through tooling, but the "randomish" nature of losing history on dev/stage is one of those, admittedly minor, annoyances that this would sol

I dunno here. CR's validation around the fact that users will often visit different sites seems on point to me. Some users visit the same sites over and over, true. But, a more accurate browsing pattern would be different sites, new co

I don't think you understand the previous comment. Often, with burnout, motivation is not necessarily the issue. You try, or believe that you're trying, your absolute best but everything is falling down around you. It's not j

You'll need to source that. Despite some evidence in his later actions, Strom never vocally repudiated his earlier racism. I couldn't find any sources on it. His filibuster against the Civil Rights Act put him in this position. Ha
