Ask it to explain how it came to the conclusion. It does give you a pretty logical sequence of how it got there. Also, if it's wrong, tell it so and give it a hint to get it closer. It's kind of fun to guide it to the right answ

This is exactly what I was thinking. Except for a tectonic fault line between the point and the landmark, a relative grid of neighboring landmarks as extra reference would be useful as well. Once you establish a location of one point, it

During COVID I made it a goal to walk every street in my town using the web-based CityStrides ( https://citystrides.com/ ) tracker. It keeps tracks of streets you have walked and lets you know what percentage of a town you h

I have used VI for many, many years and honestly use perhaps 25% at best of its abilities. But still I get comments about how fast and smoothly I can use it from other developers. Which I think speaks to how powerful even the basic editor

There is an out of print book from the 50's that's a great resource for bow making. The full title is, "The Archer's Craft; a Sheaf of Notes on Certain Matters Concerning Archers and Archery, the making of archers'

Given someone always posts these it's too bad every article can't just be set up with that kind of link. If there's a legal reason it can't be done I'd not be surprised though.

Another one with an, “I dunno, 5 maybe?” story. I had a heart attack 2 months ago and got asked the 1-10 thing 4-5 times in the middle of it. I had classic left side chest and back of my arm pain. Kinda made up a number but told them I de

Makes me think of King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard which I saw for the first time in the Bay Area last year. Opposite of Phish, I believe they live stream all concerts for free on YouTube.

When my sister was dying of cancer, she reached a point where she wasn’t speaking. So not exactly last words, but I remember holding her hand and she would give me two squeezes. I would like to think it was her ‘saying’ “Love you” or “Thank

Per a separate comment I made, I think you could add to this and call it an AI assisted code review. Not just can the user review the code shown, but can they review the code that AI creates? Yes, AI code is sort of like any other code in

The thing is though, we "all" are using AI in the work place to help us with coding. It's a thing. It's the new Stack Overflow. So why shouldn't someone use it in an interview? Of course the main thing is whethe

I’ve definitely done the ^Z thing. The catch is to remember you did it if you get distracted in the terminal. Nothing like finding some vim job in the background and you can’t remember what it was.

Fair enough but it’s not the best example to use to introduce GFCI. Something like this? “Though you rarely will see your bathroom GFCI trip (unless you’re dropping the hair dryer into the bath water), some kinds of larger, more complicated
