You mentioned your iPhone clock is set to a random time zone. So one can assume that when you put events into your iPhone calendar, you must do the math?

I make about 5 angel investments per year, several of which are YC companies. When I'm pitched by entrepreneurs, it's because they want my help, not my money. Khosla may have a point. The last few deals I did were five-figure investments at

This is good advice. Make sure all of your friends and parents' friends and everyone else in your life knows what you do. Chances are, one of them knows someone who needs you.

A hack that worked for me when I was freelancing, was to put my resume on various job boards as if I were looking for full-time employment. When companies called me to set up interviews, I said (on the phone) "Turns out I decided I'm going

I wish I read this article a year ago before I started developing my latest app. I have that exact problem, where adding a column to a 10M+ row table takes over an hour. So instead I end up with "things" tables all over the place. Sigh.

Unrelated to the content, when I use Command-plus to increase the font size on this blog (in Chrome, at least), the font doesn't grow. Which means I can't read it, because my eyes suck.

Human.io helps you embed photos into a long web page? (I know that's not what it does. But just illustrating my point. Don't make me, the user, figure it out. Just tell me.)

Joshua is brilliant and I want to love this! But I wish there were a specific example of what it does. Something that starts with, "Let's say you run a site and need [x]. Here's how human.io can help you with that..." Otherwise it's too muc

One of the things I did on my Boostrap'd site, is to make the button corners sharp instead of rounded. That makes a big difference in making it look less Bootstrap'y. See fandalism.com

Is it possible you're reading it wrong? I just put in a 2.4km address and it came out to ~2,500 steps. See this permalink (click "go") http://missstep.com/?origin=Clayallee%209%2014191%20Berlin,%...

I just fixed this by changing all API lookups from server-side to client-side. I think Google's limits are per IP address, so doing the lookups client-side should keep my app working for any reasonable amount of use. Woo!
