2048 was a fantastic depiction of modern male loneliness; unloved and invisible, yet with beautiful commercialized girls at one's finger tips. "Her" didn't capture this well, and frankly I don't think Spike Jonze

I have crohns disease. Many people with my disease report improvement or even remission with specialized diets, but what's interesting is how disjoint these diets are. Some people eat only meat, others only vegan, others high-fiber, ot

Sure, but that only works for the most trivial cases. The belt graph can be quite complicated, with loops comprising several segments. For cases like that you'd have to do cycle detection, which is totally not better than the 2nd algor

I still confused about your point. The segment optimization reduces the number of nodes being iterated over, but doesn't change much else. A fully compacted belt can move in Factorio, but only when Factorio knows it can output into an

Sweet article but I'm pretty sure the optimization there is independent of the circular belt bug. Presumably one could implement a similar optimization for both algorithms (it just might be hairier for the second one).

The issue isn't an AI reading copyrighted code, the issue is an AI regurgitating the lines of copyrighted code verbatim. To be clear, humans aren't allowed to do this either. And sure, nobody cares about your stupid binary tree, b

Mostly the issue is the layout, not the color space. YUV420 is awkward to handle because it's "420", not because it's YUV. There wouldn't be too many issues if everything ran on the 1-byte-per-pixel-component YUV4

One suggested improvement is to make the game 4-on-4 instead of 5-on-5. Less players on the ice typifies more offense, and less bodies covering the net causing chaos. In some ways the game is already moving towards this, by changing overtim
