I don't pay for Gmail and its faster. I had free tier of AWS and it was faster. I have i7 PC with 16 GB RAM, 4 MB Cache. That is a general configuration most developers have I suppose.

Its not about language as I've understood now going through the same phase you're going through right now. What matters the most is getting things done, getting product to market. Overthinking on language, platform is just a waste
