I'm not sure if there was an implication of psychedelics at Joshua Tree, but this comment in that context would be just as egregiously confining.

Same thing happened last year too. I bought mine as soon as it launched on Play and you could already see the screen lift issue within a week, so I returned it. I bought it again a few months later and I got a device that has no issues what

I don't get this complaint. All of these services have a social component built in, so why not just put them all under one umbrella? It's not like Google+ does anything remarkably bad.

I'm not sure if this is good news. Doesn't this portend further monopolistic control over publishing and distribution? Amazon isn't known to fairly and openly distribute its content.

Wow, for all the hype, this phone is incredibly mediocre.

Why not just use an electronic cigarette to get your nicotine fix? I've been considering doing this recently as a mild stimulant.

I haven't checked Udacity in a long while and it's amazing the breadth of coursework that they offer for free. It's a much better format, and more convenient, than coursera too.

We don't need solutions. We need big corporations to accrue patents and public approval so that they can steamroll the rest of the industry many years down the line. It's called charity™

It's arbitrary because if we're going to assume that facebook is going away, we can just as easily assume that google, intel, etc will.

Facebook is not going away. They can turn on as many revenue streams as they want, and people will not leave.

If your t.v. has an HDMI port it more than likely has a USB as well. Not a big deal.

The youtube and netflix streaming aren't orientation specific, but the tab sharing and maybe even other media options like chrome games ( http://www.chromeexperiments.com/ ) are.

It's supposedly designed to hold comfortably in landscape. It coincides with the chromecast release, where your primary layout is going to be landscape to match the t.v. display.

You can tab stream and there's apparently an sdk so there's pretty much no barriers to streaming!!

Just bought one. It's surprising that Google came up with such a compelling solution after the failure of the Nexus Q.

The detractors are just here to bash unashamed. This really makes a lot of sense. You have pretty overt ads displayed, and deletable, within a tab devoted to ads. It's pretty much the best scenario imaginable for an ad supported servic

Many of my university's teachers took pride in their low pass rates. Not because they failed so many students, but because they passed a minority that had truly mastered the material.

I bet there will be many similar cases before the behavior of students taking MOOCs changes. I just hope it doesn't dissuade the effort. I'm sure the long-term benefit of the effort is worth it.
