It doesn't seem like that gives you the ability to push image updates over the network. Or to run with read-only a/b partitions.

Gokrazy is easily the most pleasant way I've found to deploy code to a raspberry pi. The worst part about setting up a raspberry pi is having to get out a keyboard and monitor (or serial cable) to manually configure a the rpi before yo

Development hasn't stalled. There's a bunch of features that they have been making a lot of progress on. I'd expect to see quite a few of them before the end of the year.

Hi Neighbor! I walk by your garden a few times a week and always enjoy it. I also have long been curious what the history behind the oddly shaped building was. Thank you for the blog post and for making the neighborhood a lovely place to li

I'm not saying the developers couldn't support it. I'm saying you are not entitled to name call them if they choose to not support it.

Yes, if you are writing new software please respect $XDG. But its a bit ridiculous to think that bash should respect some convention developed ~20 years after bash was released.

I've been running Asahi for a full year on my m2 air. The battery life is quite good. Yes, I think macOS has batter battery optimizations than linux, but compared to other laptops running linux it really is quite good.

Wow this is a huge price increase for AWS. Its kind of shocking that they are raising prices for IPv4 addresses instead of offering a discount for hosts that are not using a public IPv4 address. Very un-aws like.

No, whatever issue you are experiencing is not simply Twitch blocking Linux. I can login fine from Linux from chromium and firefox.

I often use (my[0]) sqlite http vfs to query databases stored in s3. You can simply make a presigned url and then give that to the vfs and then it all just works. [0]: https://github.com/psanford/sqlite3vfshttp

I'm curious how you'll handle lambda concurrency with LiteFS. I think (please correct anything I've got wrong) the way LiteFS works with respect to concurrency is: - A single host is the primary node and all writes have to go

Man this is cool. While I really enjoy my own solution of using a custom SQLite vfs that stores your db transparently in dynamodb[0], this really is a compelling alternative. I wonder how viable this would be to use from aws lambda? It seem

Yeah, sqlite has been my preferred method for working with csv files for a long time. I will say that one nice thing about DuckDB over SQLite is that it does a better job inferring column types than SQLite does.

Let me be more specific. There were a lot of bugs specifically related to non-4k page size architectures. Arm doesn't dictate the page size so most of the Arm systems out there have defaulted to 4k pages. The Asahi wiki has a partial l
