I went through this already. Lived through a category 5 hurricane that took out the power grid, and antennas (among many other key infrastructure). I downloaded as much documentation about the technology I relied on as possible. Ma pages, c

Price and range. IMO EV trucks need at least a 500 mile range unloaded and no less than 250 mile range when towing at max capacity at highway speeds. Yes, ridiculously high requirements but they won’t compete with a gas engine version (much

If you would have just learned it in the time you’ve spent considering learning it then you would not need to decide. Go download the rust book or lessons in the terminal. They’re great resources.

It also depends on the batteries themselves. An older Nissan leaf? Doubt it. A newer Tesla? I sure hope so. Im curious as to how car batteries will be repurposed to use for energy storage. Once they degrade to the point of only holding char

That shouldn’t be too hard these days. You can go the expensive route and use a raspberry pi but I know you can use something simpler. You can def do it for cheaper but an RPi does allow you internet connectivity and a buttload of other pos

Weirdly I ran into something similar many years ago. I took a similar alarm clock and hacked it to connect it the alarm signal to a stereo system with two 12 inch subwoofers. It was very very very loud. Neighbors could hear it a street over

Ok, thank you for pointing that out. I’m focused on making models play nice with each other rather than building a feature that relies on it. That’s where I see the more relevant work being. Why such news are exciting!

I don’t get the comment. For one I’m excited for developments in the field. Not afraid it will “replace me” as technology has replaced me multiple times over. I’m looking towards working with these models more and more.

Cool design. It’s well done for it being a 20 minute effort. And that’s where these things currently shine.

Tried that and didn’t work for me . I do hope it works for others. Sometimes we do need custom tools even for the most basic needs. Mine is built to track not only that I did it but it allows me to comment on it. I can then go back and rea

Yes, I meant your app. It’s a little confusing to get at a glance. Was hoping you’d add some kind of link where I could see a demo or some screenshots of how it works. :)

I have a software version of this that was built for my own purposes. I plan on opening it up but let me tell you habit tracking works awesome.

The medium is shifting just like it shifted 25-ish years ago. People would write and publish on paper or fax. Then came email and websites. Eventually the blog came up because the self publishing process at the time was cumbersome and peopl

I can relate. Couple of years ago I was recognized as a Python software foundation fellow. My contributions to the Python community got me the award (I organize Python Atlanta). Has anything changed? Not really. It is listed in my resume

Impressive demo. I’m working on the “brain” side of what I hope will back such real time agents. Any plans to provide hooks into these avatars so that i could potentially run my own logic?

The goal is instead to copy the content over and link back to the source? I’m a little lost sorry. This seems very interesting and similar to a zettelkasten system.

Read “The ultimate sales letter”. This is an older book by a very successful copywriter. It has made me so much money and provided so much success (still does). I read it every year.

Agreed. I’m still rocking the ps4 and enjoying its vast library of solid games. PS5 lacks games and is expensive. They should have a $350 model with optical drive and one remote. Sell it on a plastic shopping bag for all I care.

I built my own prompt management system. It’s similar to a cms except there’s connections and taxonomic relationships between prompts and generated replies. Haven’t seen anything like it yet. Too busy to put up online for others to use.

“… but I’m starting to be concerned that I’m not growing as an engineer.“ What are you looking to grow into? What is growth to you? What’s your general outlook around what you hope to get out of this?

There’s also the Microsoft Teals program that is focused on CS (I’m a volunteer). Just putting it out there. Not all schools have robotics programs. Btw, congrats to the OP and team. Proud of yalls work!

I appreciate the reply. As someone who runs multiple CMSs it’s painful to deal with the ai crawlers these days. Specially the ones that don’t respect my terms.
