Steam link supports 120hz and HDR. Regarding hardware, you can build your own steam link on rpi 3b/4, but for HDR i assume that you will need a rpi4.

That is a leftover after Kyshtym disaster (Кыштымская авария), which is relatively well documented even though it is not well known in the west. City-40 is the name of the movie about the city, city was named Chelyabinsk-40 (Челябинск-40) a

Great demo! Probably will set that just to have my own tiny 'Mr. New Vegas' that streams into the void.

That's the important question really. If it still requires a vm, then there is almost no difference between methods.

Woodpecker is a great tool. Paired with Gitea has probably the smallest footprint compared to other options.

I despise yaml as much as the other guy, but it works here well enough for what it does. > This is the worst abuse of YAML When was the last time you looked at k8s manifests?

Nice to Woodpecker CI getting some traction. Great software for selfhosted ci. Simpler to start than Jenkins, not as flexible ofc, but most projects do not require that amount of flexibility and footguns. Woodpecker one of the best tools fo

Good writeup. One thing though - when possible it is best to use hashicorp package repos, this removes a lot of unnecessary actions, makes upgrades trivial and all that you have to do is: 1. Add repo for package manager of your choice 2. su

Russian "Куб-бла" drones are silent, yes, but also inaccurate and have a significantly smaller payload compared to Iranian Shahed's. Also, both can't be mass produced due to a multitude of reasons.

Migrated from k8s to nomad. Did not miss anything, but apparently nomad can't do VM live migrations. It is not a part of our workflow when working with VM's, but still might be an issue for some.

It was pointed out multiple times that frog guy took footage from random frog videos off youtube. While acts like that are dangerous, this whole thing is blown out of proportion, and guardian is a few weeks too late.

Nomad is a lot easier to get into, all the while it provides almost the same functionality as k8s, including a lot of the edge cases like orchestrating vm's, lxc, firecracker and ofc workloads on windows and freebsd too. Weakest point

i'd would recommend using a prebuilt docker image or rebuilding it to fit your needs. For my setup i am maintaining my own image with tini init system and some minor added scripts.

You can use it with VLC or LocalCast for appletv, as UMS is has working DLNA, but i have no recent experience with appletv so can't guarantee that it will work.

IMO a simpler alternative for anemic nuc's and older pc's. Love it's small footprint and how relatively hands-off it is.

Swarm is enough, if you just need to run x amount of containers on y<20 amount of nodes. Lack of support for CSI is probably fatal for it today.

Exactly! OmniOS, Tribblix and Smartos are probably three most prominent ones. OpenIndiana is another one, but it is aimed at desktop computers.

Use omniOS, literally next best thing. Zones, smf and all the other great things. Amazing stuff.
