Ansible server does not work on windows, yes, but you can configure windows hosts with Ansible out of the box.

Ansible is the easiest tool for configuration management to onboard and start using. Great documentation, large community. It is as complex as you want it to be and it's complexity scales with your infra. ofc YMMV.

My comparison is most likely unfair because i am looking at it through a distorted lens of running all sorts of configuration management in production or at home for years. So i might be the wrong person to make judgement on it and just bei

ansible my_servers -m shell -a 'fortune && reboot' -b I know it is easy to be a hater, but sincerely do not see a reason to use something like that over Ansible or just pure sh, ssh and scp. All you have to do is to set up

Armbian is an exceptional project, even if the support might be uneven in some places, being able to roll out the same OS across almost every SBC i have is an absolute game changer. If there is support, Armbian is worth trying 100% of the t

Just wanted to say thanks for your work on Nomad. Amazing tool that had me rethink a lot of things about how i work with infra and software in general and is always pleasant to work with by itself.

Used nomad in my homelab to run nspawn containers with nspawn driver[1] Surprisingly simple and low footprint solution and genuinely pleasant to work with, since it is very similiar to managing a Systemd service. [1] https://githu

Beautiful stuff, glad to see that Underrail also made it into the book. Underrail is probably the best Fallout-like game.

vk.com and telegram have nothing in common, except the founder. Durov was forced to sell his part in the vk.com and telegram development started after that as a response.

Nice, just hope that canonical will lay off with the snap push. Otherwise looks really nice, will roll it out on my home machine today. > Cloud images no longer preseed any snaps by default Yes! Small improvement, but still.

Been running both nomad and k8s in prod for the last few years. Nomad has been stable and reliable to the point of replacing k8s in some projects because of how easy it is to work with and onboard developers.

Opera was the most popular browser in Belarus in late 2000s. Happened mostly because of word of mouth and bunch of features that allowed to save data when browsing. Most users at that moment had metered connections like 800 megabytes per mo

Get yourself an Oracle cloud freetier. It's free and you can get 2x 1Ram1CPU x86 VM's and any combination of 24Ram4CPU arm64 VM's. There is also a bunch of other resources that you get access to. Be aware of VM reclamation, b
